IZAKAYA!!

Next, I’d like to introduce you the Japanese bar called “izakaya(居酒屋)”. Hove you ever been there? If not, come to Japan and go there. I'm sure izakaya is much different from foreign bars and you can enjoy many kinds of Japanese food and drinks. I’m happy if you get interested in it with my blog.

This is "tiritori nabe (ちりとり鍋)" It's called "tiritori('dustpan' in English)" because its shape is like tiritori!! ↓

IZAKAYA(居酒屋)…

Izakaya is the place where we can have many kinds of drinks and simple food. Japanese style- izakaya are common, and they have much more food menu than bars and pubs.

In Edo era, izakaya was popular by single men, but now it’s popular by anyone like young women and families. You can make a noise in there (of course can’t bother other customers though), so it’s the most popular place to have parties or something like that. Moreover, if you have a chance to see Japanese University students having a party there, you may hear special songs called "call" that’s sung to encourage or make friends drink some more alcohol. “Otosi” is a simple dish that we have to take regardless of our will. It’s usually served soon after ordering, and we can eat it while waiting for other dishes. However, you have to remember that you must pay money for it even if you don’t eat it.
